About the Owner: Travis Jacobs
I started painting when I was eight years old moving drop cloths and pulling receptacle covers off for my father so he could paint. By the time I was 12 I was handing 12ft sheets of drywall up scaffolding before football practice. For me, there’s nothing more satisfying than starting a project and in just a few short hours seeing the amazing transformation that a good prep and paint makes. I loved it when I was a kid and I love it now. That’s why I have been painting for over 30 years.
During my painting career I worked as a superintendent for a union painting company in NYC for 2 years. During my time there I managed 30+ painters on some of the toughest jobs imaginable. We were doing venetian plaster finishes in the Carlyle Hotel Presidential suite and repaints for companies like Apple NY and Google NY. If you can satisfy the wealthy on the upper east side of Manhattan, you can satisfy anyone. Working with professionals that came through the union apprenticeship program and worked in the business for 30 plus years taught me a lot about the business that I can pass on to my men and our customers.
